Love Your Selfie!
To launch this terms topic "Love Your Selfie" we are starting with having a visitor from Guide Dogs for the Blind who will give the children some insight into what it is like to be blind and the role guide dogs play in supporting them.
We will be carrying out exciting investigations using our different senses and labelling different parts of the body.
We will be looking at the work of art styles including collage and transient art.
All of our topic work in the afternoons is linked to the text we have been reading and writing about.
In History we will be looking at modern-day toys and comparing them with toys from the past. We will also investigate how toys have changed over time.
The focus for our Science this term is our senses and the body. We will be looking at different parts of the body and what it needs to stay strong and healthy.
In Computing we will be creating a photo story to give information about ourselves.
The focus for Music this term is using different parts of the body to create sounds.
In PE we are going to be working on developing our ball skills and apply the skills learned in ball games.
In RE we will be learning about what it means to belong and what this means for different faiths.
Our theme for PSHE this term is new beginnings and we will be discussing how to create a positive learning environment.
