We will be continuing to learn about the different parts of our bodies and concentrate on our senses. We will carry out experiments to find out how our senses, lungs and heart all work.

We will find out what we need to survive and discuss the importance of the work of Florence Nightingale and link this to our experiment of germs.

We will discuss the importance of internet safety as we use the internet to research about significant individuals linked to our topic.

We will look closely at pop art culture through Andy Warhol and Lichtenstein.

As Artists We Will . . .

Learn about the work of a range of artists, craft makers and designers, describing the differences and similarities between different practices and disciplines, and making links to their own work.

We will be developing range of art and design techniques by using colour, pattern, texture, line, form and space.

As Writers, We Will . . .

As Mathematicians, We Will . . .

Interpret and construct simple pictograms, tally charts, block diagrams and tables.

Solve problems involving multiplication and division, using materials, arrays, repeated addition, mental methods.

Order and arrange combinations of objects in patterns and sequences using mathematical vocabulary to describe position, direction and movement.

As Historians, We Will . . .

Look at the lives of significant individual in the past who have contributed to national and international achievements.

We will find out as much as we can about the lives of Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale.

Physical Education

This term our P.E lessons will focus on mastering basic movements including running, jumping, throwing and catching.

Religious Education

Our theme in R.E is Being Human. We will be finding out about Christian beliefs and how they affect the way in which they live.

As Scientists we will . . .

Identify, name, draw and label the basic parts of the human body and say which part of the body is associated with each sense. Know how the body parts work.

We will be finding out about and describe the basic needs of animals, including humans.
