Admissions
Choosing A School Is One Of The Most Important Decisions You Will Make For Your Child .
We invite you to come and have a look around Woodlands Infant and Nursery School. We are a caring school who want all of our children to feel like they are part of the Woodlands family. All children, when they start with us, make a clay bird that sits in the tree nestled in our school entrance which stays with us during their Woodlands journey and then 'flies on' with them when they leave in Year 2.
We believe that, a personal tour with the Headteacher, or a member of the Leadership Team, will allow you to discover what we do and ask questions relevant to your child and family. Once you have made up your mind, if you wish to become part of our school family, you will need to follow the admissions system.
Applying to Start School In Reception
Applications to start school in September can be made online from 15th November until the closing date, 15th January at 12 noon. Applications and further information are available at: www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/schooladmissions.
A link will appear here shortly for you to apply online. You can also apply by telephoning Lincolnshire County Council Customer Service Centre on 01522 782030. Alternatively, you can request a paper application (on the same number).
Becoming A Member of Woodlands
Most of our pupils begin their time with us starting in Nursery, but some start in Reception, and we support families whichever way works for them. Reception places are allocated via the local authority and ALL pupils must apply, even if they are already attending school. Applications are made from November each year with decisions made in the Spring. We can advise and help with this, the easiest way is online.
Joining Part Way Through the Year
Some families join the school at other times and in other year groups, for example when families relocate. This can be done by applying through school admissions or at the school office.
